The speaker also commended the electorate for their large turn out for the election. Owoeye told newmen in Ilesa that there had been meaningful improvement and development as far as voting process was concerned. Meanwhile, the Speaker, Osun House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the timely arrival of election materials and smooth conduct of the election. “Lasun is still is in the race and he is hoping for victory,” he said. “Those that are spreading the news are only hallucinating. He said however, that some arrests had been made by security agents in the course of the election. Kokumo said that the security agencies had been up and doing in ensuring peaceful conduct of the election. Mr Johnson Kokumo, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) said this after a visit to ward 5, unit 5 Salvation Army alekuwodo polling unit in Osogbo.
